Formal Essays

Writing a personal statement for the first time in my life, was fun. I wrote about someone who has the most effect in my life, which is my sister Noor. My older sister is the most person I need and love. Personal statements are always asked for university entry requirements. Thanks to Mrs Timm, now i know how write it.

This persuasive essay was about a dragon who attacked a village, because they stole his jewels and personal belongings. I had to write my point of view, if i was the dragon. This helps me know different situations and learn how to act if anything happens to me. It also helps me know my self better, and figure out how mean i could ever be.

Compare and contrast may seem as a very easy thing to do. But its not, until you read and understand both books. Graphic novel and Literary novel were both great, but I personally liked the Graphic novel more, because it contains pictures which makes it more interesting, fun and easy to read and understand. It took some time to know what both books have in common or differences. This helped me learn how to compare and contrast easily.

The second compare and contrast essay we did was not about two books. Instead, it was about one book and a movie. This was easier to compare and contrast because it seemed so much more fun to watch a movie which contained almost all the same names and characters. Shakespere twelfth night and the movie "Shes the man" was easy to compare and contrast after watching and reading the amazing play. 

Symbolism Essay was all about knowing your self more than anything. Every thing in the world symbolizes something. In this essay I wrote about each color and what does it symbolize in my life. This helped me figure out some thing about my own personality which I was not sure about. It also helps me find out other peoples characteristics by reading their essay. This was very beneficial and helpful.

Tobacco powerpoint was basically a research about a topic i chose in class. My topic was about tobacco because i wanted to know more about it, and this was a good chance for me to learn and know more about it. This powerpoint also benefited me in several ways, intext citation, annotated bibliography and using specific sites which i did not know about before. It was a successful research and i had fun doing it.
